Medical Billing

Medical Billing is a part of the Clinical/Medical Practice Management system that supports healthcare providers in charging their patients or the insurance providers for the clinical services rendered by them. The medical billers usually fetch the clinical statements of a patient from a medical records system/clinical documents. They then generate standard clinical codes based on classification systems such as ICD, CPT, etc. Some of the healthcare providers may have an in-built medical coding feature in their existing practice management system. In contrast, others use third-party medical coding companies to carry out the process.
